I have lost my username and/or password for my email. What should I do?
Misplaced Username or Password
Losing or misplacing a username or password can be a hassle. Below are two tips to recovering them:
Retrieval Program
If you forget your email username or password, there are many free retrieval programs available for all operating systems. For a step by step process, use the following link Username/Password Recovery. Other uses of the retrieval program include:
- FTP username/passwords for perrsonal website
- HTTP username/passwords for firewall web interface access
- MySQL passwords for databases
- ICQ username/password for instant messaging
Contact ISP
To retrieve the missing email username or password, please call the Technical Support number for the email provider. In most cases, the email address will be provided to the customer, and/or the email password will be reset.
